Neon Saber
A downloadable game
Neon Saber is currently being developed. We've just published our largest update to date and the game is finally in a stable state for the next year!
Neon Saber is a cyberpunk flavored, setting agnostic hack of Austin Ramsay's Beam Saber. Neon Saber aims to decentralize Vehicles while increasing the complexity of player characters, which this game calls “Agents'. This hack focuses on crews of professional criminals, mercenaries, wastelanders, detectives, punks, and corporate officers getting by in a cyberpunk megalopolis of your own design. Agents can choose between the Cowboy, Media, Chromehound, Wastelander, Netrunner, Ghostunner, Soldier, Tech, & Driver playbooks to represent different types of Cyberpunk protagonists.
Neon Saber and the excellent execution of the feel of Cyberpunk found in Hamish Cameron’s The Sprawl with Beam Saber’s more anime inflected and mechanically looped framework. Neon Saber also takes heavy inspiration from Beam Saber’s contemporary Forged in the Dark hack Scum & Villainy. Neon Saber is meant to be played with 3-5 people.
